That was a nice short lunch place. If you are a fan of crispy pig bell, Char siu and roasted duck, you should definitely come here! I and my partner shared a large plate that you get either white or fried rice proteins and 1 vegetables. I'm here at 3:00, so there weren't so many veggies I could choose from. Cantonal style roasts and bbq square. Roast duck had crispy skin, even a juicy neck. A mix of pieces so you get a good variety. Bbq pork (char siu) was a little dry, but I would have asked for a fat content. It was a little sweeter than in San Francisco. But still good. The large plate with a generous amount of rice, Bok Choy, roast duck and Char Siu plus chili sauce and duck sauce was $11,85. I think that's a lot. It's enough for two portions for me.
I found you, Sin Lap City.. Woohoo. You were lost for some years now. Your old name was Long Sing, on Walker St. I love your food Back then. and now your food is just as good. So if you get a chance to drive or walk by this place. Stop on on and get your self a plate. You will not be disappointed.
This was a pleasant surprise! I stumbled across this place tucked in the corner of the shopping center on my way to another regular spot. Peking duck had moist meat, just enough roast on the skin and excellent flavor. Roasted pork was the highlight for me with crispy skin and juicy meat. Bok choy, fried rice, and an eggroll to round it out. Don't skip on the ginger onion sauce!
Family operated for as long as I know when they were back in Long Sing. Food is always great. Home made everything. Rice plate is classic. Yes I finish it in one sitting but it's enough for two meals though. Crispy Roast pork, duck, and BBQ pork. My favorite menu item though is the fried ribs... All delicious and don't forget to have the sauce over that rice. Does wonders.
