Shell Shack - Houston

Had possibly my worst seafood experience ever! We waited 10 min for a waitress, along with three other tables who also had not placed their orders. The food took an hour to arrive and two of the items presented were wrong, including an allergy substitution. The table and chairs were also sticky, totally gross. And this was a Sunday afternoon with almost no customers! Will never waste my time or money eating there again.

Liz our server was great. We enjoyed the experience and it was nice and quiet for a bar atmosphere. The food taste great. I felt the prices were a littler higher than our usual places but we definitely try it out again. Another plus is the parking is free I'm the area.

When it comes to the food, the boils are definitely the highlight of the menu. However, everything else seemed over-fried. My Caesar salad lacked dressing and the lettuce was limp, so I couldn't eat it. The shrimp weren't cleaned properly, and the cocktail sauce had an odd taste. My friend enjoyed her boil, but unfortunately, she didn’t receive the extra potatoes and corn she ordered, so those weren’t included in her dish. Overall, the experience was just okay. The music didn't fit the atmosphere, and the service was quite slow.

Avoid this place at all costs! I saw a rat scurry across the floor, and when I informed the manager, he admitted that he had been trying to catch it for MONTHS. I was absolutely disgusted, and to make matters worse, he refused to give me a refund after I paid for my meal! This restaurant is awful! The manager, Martinez, should not be in charge of anything.

Quick seating for a Sat. nite....had a wide range of seafood...alligator tails quite interesting smh...Grandson like fried shrimp n burger 2go. Oyster fried was decent too.Food: 5/5
