This is a can't miss place. This place is fantastic. The atmosphere was so relaxing and friendly. My wife and I enjoyed the food very much. For my taste buds it is the best BBQ in town. The wait staff is really friendly. Very nice people. We will be going back often. View all feedback.
What Eric L doesn't like about Pizzitola's Bbq Bbq Catering:
Pizzatola's is where recently relocated Northerners will bring their out of town guests to enjoy some terrible Texas BBQ. I would have given it zero stars if I could:)Oven baked meats, doused in liquid smoke, with non-rendered fat and below average sides is what you should expect if you are silly enough to come here.Go to Truth BBQ, Pinkerton's, or Killen's if you want some really excellent Texas BBQ. Houston is a BBQ powerhouse in Texas, offering a variety of trendy and long-standing options. One of my personal favorites is Pizzatola. The brisket and sausage are excellent, but what truly sets it apart for me is the delicious BBQ sauce, the diner-like atmosphere, and the friendly service. I also can’t get enough of their homemade banana pudding! Plus, the prices here are competitive or even lower than some of the trendier spots in the area.
This place is absolutely amazing! The ribs are unbelievably fantastic! I really enjoyed the turkey; it was super juicy and completely moist. The brisket and enchiladas were a perfect 10/10! I highly recommend this spot for your next BBQ craving. Food: 5/5
We engaged in a friendly conversation about the various regional BBQ styles with our server Esteban, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a complete Texas BBQ experience, showcasing Pizzitola's unique flavors. He presented us with several different sauce options to try, even including a sweet, dark sauce reminiscent of Kansas City BBQ for me. Everything we had was fantastic! The brisket was the best I've ever tasted! For the pork spare ribs, I enjoyed them without sauce—they were incredible too, although I still prefer my Kansas City sauce. It's a tie between Texas and KC on that one. The pulled pork, also without sauce, was delightful—a draw. The smoked chicken breast? Pizzitola's takes the win there, no contest (that's a closely guarded cooking secret). And the pinto beans—I've never tasted beans like these before! Texas wins that round hands down. The street corn? Oh my goodness! It easily surpasses Jack Stack's cheesy corn without a doubt. And banana pudding made over the pit? Absolutely! When you discover a place that masterfully combines two of the best cuisines on the planet, Mexican and BBQ, you know you’ve found something special. Don’t miss the BBQ fajitas; they are simply amazing! This Kansas City girl tips her hat and curtsies to Pizzitola's! Thank you for your warm hospitality! Come visit us in Kansas City when you can!
Great place! Great service! Great food! Great find. A minute off the 10. Very down home place! Super great history and is the oldest BBQ in Houston! No frills, just how I like it...Food: 5/5
