What Esther Wuckert doesn't like about Peska Seafood & Prime Steaks:
peska has a big change in her menu and kitchen, not sure that it is for the better. entries on the menu are much overprice for what's getting. the latin inspired menu leaves much to wish. Maybe it's the places that dictate the menu prices, but it's not a good value or worthy what's served. my fish dish had bland aromen and was 't enough to get a drink, it would have made a nice appetizer if it had a taste. not impres... Maybe it is because it was a Monday.... Everything seemed a little bit off. The food was not at the high level we have had before. Watermelon Salad tasted like they had made it a few days ago. Service was a bit slow and unengaged. I can't even say it was because they were busy. They really weren't. It was not terrible but not what you have come to expect from this high caliber place. read morePeska is a beautiful restaurant that offers a luxurious setting but unfortunately falls short on service. While the food and drinks were good, the wait staff seemed unprepared and unaware of the overall dining experience. Multiple diners noted issues with long wait times, uninterested servers, and improper clearing of plates. Despite these service problems, many praised the food quality, especially during Houston Restaurant Weeks when the menu offerings were outstanding. Some patrons even enjoyed the experience enough to return for a second visit. Overall, Peska seems to have potential but needs to work on improving its service standards to match its upscale atmosphere and delicious cuisine.
