I have never been disappointed with any of my orders. I chose to celebrate my birthday dinner here because I know I can rely on the restaurant to provide outstanding flavors and they were very accommodating with my large group. Mastrantos is definitely one of the top three restaurants in Houston! You will not be let down.

The pasta wasn't... read more As a pasta restaurant, the menu is limited and the food is mediocre. I ordered shrimp crudo and the pappardelle, both of which were just okay. The pasta wasn't the best I've ever had, and the blue lighting in the bar made the food look unappetizing. I give them 3 stars primarily because of the service I received. I visited on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar, where the host and server were friendly. I asked for a recommendation, and Pablo made me a mocktail called Portland's Autumn, which was delicious, tasting like a sparkling blackberry drink. For dessert, I requested ice cream and was given a scoop of vanilla ice cream with Nutella and caramel drizzle on top, which was tasty and enjoyable. I also appreciated their private parking lot and the stylishly designed bathrooms.

Both my partner and I were in love withour appetizer choice and main courses. Can’t recommend this place enough…a must for a date night in Houston!
