Tofu Tofu in Houston offers great value with low prices. The combo meals are fantastic! Portions are generous, whether you're getting tofu stone dishes or soups, and everything caters to a variety of personal preferences. If you enjoy Korean spicy rice cakes, I highly recommend ordering them to share – they’re a real treat. avoid this place to all cost! I was at this place many years ago, but this is the first time I came back to Kovid. I could see the difference because they have taken off the signature wallpaper. everything was self-deserved, maybe because of kovid. the black noodles (jajangmyeon) tasted sour, felt as if they were bad and looked unattractive. will not come back. I tried the ramen with pork belly, and it was just okay. The ramen reminded me of instant noodles, just with some vegetables and crispy pork belly. However, the dumplings were fantastic and had a great crunch to them—I highly recommend those! My favorite dish was the fried chicken. We sampled the spiciest flavor, and it was perfectly spicy and crispy. The complimentary water was also surprisingly addictive and incredibly refreshing.
Upon our arrival, we weren’t greeted, and the lady (who appeared to be the owner or manager) simply told us to sit anywhere. After waiting for 30-40 minutes, we noticed that four tables remained unwashed while she sat laughing, neglecting the dirty dining area. To make matters worse, she was wearing flip-flops while handling food. Additionally, there was a couch in the dining room that seemed to be a hiding spot for her. This used to be one of my favorite places, but it’s evident how much its quality has declined. I definitely won’t be returning.
The soups were pretty flavorful, and you get a lot of food in the bibimbap! They give you a small portion of banchan, but you can ask for more. It does the job if you've been craving korean food. You order at the counter and sit wherever you'd like. It's a self serve establishment
This is some of the tastiest Korean food i’ve ever had. Easily the best Korean food in Houston for overall value. The restaurant itself doesn’t offer much ambiance or atmosphere, but the food will keep me coming back.
