What User doesn't like about Ichi:
Has this restaurant changed ownership? Perhaps it's Sunday and the regular chef isn't working? I haven't visited in a while and although all the necessary ingredients are there, everything seemed rushed. The ramen broth was off, the egg yolk, typically cooked in the "Japanese way" to be slightly creamy, was not. The fried chicken karaage was overcooked, making it dry and crispy. The authentic and flavorful ramen at this restaurant in Houston is definitely worth trying. The beautiful ambiance and excellent customer service make for a great dining experience. I highly recommend ordering the veggie ramen, as it has a delicious on-site taste. I will definitely be returning to this bar for their Ramen Fest soon. View all feedback.
