Went there for Xmas holiday. Was glad that they were open. Was still pretty busy for holiday. Garlic noodles were meant, but meat quality was pretty tasty. White rice tasted old/odd, otherwise seemed reasonable for Japanese bbq. View all feedback.
What CarlosC doesn't like about GyuKaku Houston TX Memorial:
Got scammed out of 12 meats got 8 instead, they never brought out the chicken karaage, charged me for it, they excluded the a5 wagyu for some prime usda cause they didnt have any and got charged for it extra on top of the 12 meat package as an extra when it was a replacement forced by the restaurant. First time and it was awesome but make sure you make reservations otherwise you will have to wait . We had reservations at 7 and walked right in . The food was excellent and so was the service .
Great service and the meat was well seasoned. We are never disappointed when we visit.
This was my initial visit to the restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time there with my boyfriend.
Our server was friendly, quick, and helpful, and he didn't try to tell us or enforce any rules, which I really appreciated. More importantly, when he took a break, another girl immediately introduced herself as a temp replacement, and she was truly around as much as he was for us that was impressive. We went with the Suprême option, and the prime Kalbi short rib was so good. There were a few dishes that wasn't that good, but no one cared when we could just try something else immediately. Will be coming back with my entire family next time!
Joseph was super nice very cool and always served us on time
