I picked up a light dinner after work. I got myself and my mother, the chickens, the rice plate and two bubble teas. It was so good. I and my mom really love this place. View all feedback.
What Valerie L doesn't like about Golden Oolong Tea:
Been here a couple of times. It's one of the closest boba places to me. The drinks are so-so. I had the jasmine green tea the first time, and thought it was watered down. The drink was still hot and all the ice had melted before it was handed to me. The second time I decided to go for the passion fruit tea. It was decent, you can't get it wrong since it's just tea and syrup. The food is what I actually come for. Love... View all feedback.
The spicy chicken bits rice bowl and fried tofu are absolutely amazing!
Drinks are okay. I like their juice, but don't ever get their Udon. The broth tastes just like water w/ 1 cup of salt 1 cup of soy sauce. It was extremely salty. I have very low expectation for food since it's a boba store, but I literally could not eat this. It was disappointing that I wasted $11. I know that maybe the next time I order Udon, it could be back to normal, but why take the risk?
I love all their teas! The staff is always happy to answer my questions if I want to try something new, and the service is very fast! One of my favorite Boba places in town.
I've visited this place a few times since it’s one of the closest boba spots to my home. The drinks are just average. On my first visit, I tried the jasmine green tea, and I found it a bit watered down; it was still hot when served, and all the ice had melted. On my second visit, I opted for the passion fruit tea, which was decent—you can't go wrong with just tea and syrup. However, the highlight for me is definitely the food. I absolutely love the spicy chicken bits, also known as popcorn chicken, and their pork bits rice bowl. The pork bits rice bowl reminds me of thit kho, a traditional Vietnamese dish made with pork belly and egg. I would rate the drinks a 2 out of 5, but the food deserves a solid 4 out of 5. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick lunch or a snack.
On a scorching afternoon in Houston, we decided to visit this tea shop before heading back to our hotel. The shop was quite spacious, with just a few customers inside. It had simple decor and plenty of seating, along with some board games up front. We ordered peach and lychee black teas with boba. When our drinks were served, we were surprised by the color—it looked like a murky black tea, which was not what we had anticipated. The peach flavor had a somewhat grainy texture, but the lychee was enjoyable. The boba had a nice chewy consistency. Unfortunately, the drinks didn't quite satisfy our thirst as we had hoped.
