I placed a pick-up order for the Thai shrimp salad. I was looking for something healthy and quick to eat on the go. The wait was only 15 minutes, which was great. The... View all feedback.
What Daryl Berge doesn't like about Chatter's Cafe Bistro:
The service was great but as for the food... I was a little disappointed. The shrimp stir fry had way too much sweet sauce. The sauce was thick, sugary and full of preservative. Though I might be wrong, the tomato basil soup did not appear to be made in-house; using heavy whipping cream would have made this soup a lot better. The gyro meat was really good but I just wished it would have came with something rather tha... View all feedback.
This is a lovely quaint place that has the best spaghetti marinara with vegetables I have had. Ever. The side salad fresh as we're the sweet potato fries. A polite and warm gentlemen who waited my table. The restaurant was empty when I arrived but a couple tables were occupied by regular patrons in a few mins which seems fine for a Tuesday night. I liked the light rock music. Will definitely be here more often! This was my first visit to this place after the pandemic. I agree with other reviewers who say this is a hidden gem.
On a lively street above the street from a super market is a simple, casual ranch-style building with great food. We were often with Chatter. Why it fell from our list of places, I don't remember. But I'm glad we went back this month, both times I ordered the grilled salmon, which is freshly decorated and served with brown rice, black beans and pico de gallo along with an assortment of mixed vegetables. It's hard to find restaurants serving healthier brown rice. My husband had a Greek salad and then an artichoke mutto dip served with carrots, celery and pita bread. The food here is mainly Mediterranean and Italian with a small selection of Asian dishes. The wide selection is both healthy and delicious.
Absolutely wonderful! We moved to Houston a few days ago and we were just on a Sunday afternoon on the way to get food. We have the Hippie Hollow and the Gyro Wrap and both were excellent. Our server was very friendly. We both love the atmosphere of this place. Will definitely come back!
That was a really nice place to go. The waiter/bartender was very attentive and took care of us and often came by to fill my wife's waterglass. I had a club sandwich with ham and turkey, I had many club sandwiches on my day and that was with the best of them. My wife had a gyroscope and she kept saying, mmmmmm, the whole time she had eaten it. She had the feeling that the French Pommes could have been cooked a few minutes longer, but except that I would recommend this place and we are planning to go back. The prices were also very reasonable!
Great little spot with friendly service, ample parking and yummy food. The Greek salad to start was awesome and followed it with the gyro platter which was very good and big portion.
