Sunday Brunch is amazing, the outdoor environment is beautiful there?s a jazzy DJ playing a blender of great music for the atmosphere. They have a Saturday evening when they turn into a small dance floor that is brilliant and so much fun had an explosion for Chinese new celebration. I love this place. Perfect location right in the heart of River Oak/ Highland Village. Look at it. You want to regret it View all feedback.
What Lucinda Kuhlman doesn't like about Bisou:
First visit (Sunday Brunch/ Dined at the bar). Overall experience: I found it clearly overestimated and overpriced, with extremely missing, sub par service. The establishment itself is beautiful and the live music was nice so these were the only silver food for me to rate it with 2 stars. As many of you know, an excellent and friendly service would be a number of unsatisfied questions you have with a restaurant, but... View all feedback.
The Sunday brunch is incredible, and the outdoor setting is beautiful, enhanced by a jazzy DJ providing a fantastic mix of music that creates a great atmosphere. On Saturday evenings, it transforms into a small dance floor, making for a fun and lively experience, especially during the Chinese New Year celebration, which was a blast! I absolutely love this spot. It has a perfect location right in the heart of River Oaks/Highland Village. You’ve got to check it out; you won’t regret it!
The menu offers a limited selection. I ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo, while my partner chose the Stuffed Red Snapper. His dish was fantastic; the fish was fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my Chicken Alfredo, which turned out to be bland and dry. The noodles were undercooked as well. If it weren’t for how nice the restaurant looked, I might have rated them lower. A couple of cons: gratuity is already included for two people, and when you add in the taxes and tips, our bill jumped from $74 to $95. Just a word of advice: be sure to ask about these things before you agree to anything! Further, when my waiter mentioned that bread was available with the pasta, I assumed it would be included. To my surprise, when the bill came, there was an $8 charge for bread! It felt misleading, as it seemed to be implied that it was part of the meal. We enjoy dining out, but if you're going to charge so much in fees, the food and service really need to meet expectations.
First visit (Sunday Brunch / Dined at the bar): Overall, I found the experience to be overrated and overpriced, with significantly lacking and subpar service. The establishment itself is beautiful, and the live music was a nice touch, which is why I gave it 2 stars. As many of you know, excellent and friendly service can elevate a dining experience and address many of the issues you might encounter at a restaurant. However, when the customer service is merely decent—at best—it only highlights the other problems. I did enjoy the company I had, which was a positive aspect, but I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to others.
This place is phenomenal!!! It's your own experience. It is definitely not a hype, from ambience to food, to waitress everything is on her feet! Sunday brunch is itself a vibe. Did I say it? Live music?! You deserve to experience this place. Also. Wet affordable!!!!
The atmosphere and wait staff is phenomenal. The Queen B drink was amazing. We had crab beignets and grilled oysters for an appetizer. The entree was escargot and bone marrow which was absolutely delicious. The creme brulee was perfection. 10/10 highly recommend.
