Artisans, an upscale French restaurant in the Galleria area, has garnered mixed reviews, highlighting both exceptional service and inconsistent food quality. Many diners praised the attentive staff, impeccable wine pairings, and the charming, Parisian-inspired ambiance. However, criticisms arose regarding dish saltiness, overcooked meats, and a lack of flavor complexity. Some guests loved the authentic cuisine and the chef’s willingness to accommodate dietary needs, while others felt service lapses marred their experiences. Despite these inconsistencies, the restaurant remains a favorite for its elegant atmosphere and refined dining, with many eager to return for another meal.

Was OpenTable Diner at Artisans a mag?
Rafael provided exceptional service, and the main courses were excellent. However, I found the appetizers a bit lacking in flavor. I also would have appreciated some soft music in the background to improve the atmosphere. On a positive note, the restaurant's decor is lovely. View all feedback.
What Ricky Fong dislikes about Artisans:
The service at this restaurant was top-notch, but I found the food to be a bit too salty for my taste. With a price tag of nearly $200 per person, I was hoping for better quality dishes. However, I must reiterate that the service was excellent. View all feedback.
Artisans never disappoints! We were celebrating a long-awaited dinner with our son. The food was absolutely delicious and service was impeccable. It is our favorite restaurant in Houston and one of our favorites around the world!!
Very good experience! Loved the jazz music on a Friday night the ambiance of the whole place! The food was delicious, the cocktails were great and unique, and the service was amazing! I wish I had gotten our serverâs name, but he was knowledgeable, kind, and went above and beyond for us!
This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. I highly recommend it, despite the high prices, as it is definitely worth it.
My husband and I visited this restaurant for a date night, and I must say, it was absolutely wonderful! Our server, Rafael, was very knowledgeable about both the wines and the menu, which enhanced our experience. Every dish we ordered was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The atmosphere was romantic, with elegantly dark decor that created the ideal mood. This is definitely the perfect place for a date night, and we can’t wait to return. They also feature live music on Friday nights, which adds a lovely touch. This place has certainly made it onto our list of favorites!
The restaurant provides a variety of dining options. You can choose from multi-course dinners, ranging from $100 to $150 and beyond per person, but I personally recommend sticking with the regular menu. We began our meal with a selection of signature drinks that were refreshingly delicious. The amuse-bouche was a wonderful prelude to our exploration of French cuisine. For our appetizers, we opted for lobster bisque and several main courses. The lobster bisque, complete with a lobster tail, was outstanding—truly the best I've ever tasted. They also featured a special dish of New Zealand venison, which was fantastic and cooked to perfection according to the chef’s specifications. The Chilean sea bass was flawlessly executed, beautifully seasoned, and presented, making it simply divine. The New York strip and lobster were prepared better than I’ve ever had; the strip was exceptionally moist, juicy, and expertly trimmed. For dessert, we savored crème brûlée, apple tart, and pumpkin tart, all artfully arranged. Plan to spend about two hours enjoying and unwinding here. I highly recommend dressing up for the occasion to enhance the experience. For such a memorable dining experience, expect to spend several hundred dollars. Our dinner for four, including tip, totaled around $700, and it was absolutely worth every cent. I look forward to returning soon!
