I spent three nights here on business and I do have to say the hotel is exactly what you would expect, I was to late most nights for food but did ask for the 24... read more I spent three nights here on business and I do have to say the hotel is exactly what you would expect, I was to late most nights for food but did ask for the 24hr menu, after being give the menu I got told I couldn't have anything as the chef left at 22:00 so I decided to have a drink over deciding what to do, I ordered two Rum (Bacardi) and cokes and the price was £23.85 how the hell can they charge this amount and to make matters worse they poured it out of a bottle which clearly had £13.99 stamped round the lid of it, to me this shows the it was and insult to people and I believe illegal as I don't think locally brought liquor can be sold in this way, rant over wont drink there again.

You couldn't really hear any additional noise despite beinga busy road thanks to the secondary glazing.The restaurant had a great menu, and everything we had was delicious and good value...can't beat it. giving a call after we settle in the room was great, it is a reall personal touch. Plenty of choice for breakfast. We would definately use this hotel again with no hesitation. We were worried after we booked it and saw other peoples reviews about thinking they had parked in a war zone, staff, rooms etc and would the wheels still be on their car etc, but,we alltogeather had 3 rooms, and didn't have any problem at all and nor did any other guests whilst we were there, that we knew of. The car park is small compared to the size of the hotel though, as other people have said.but overall great staff, a great 4* STAR HOTEL

I wa... read more Made a special trip to visit this restaurant having seen it on the Gourmet Society listing. Made a booking and we checked the terms at the time of booking. I was really looking forward to trying out the lovely food described in reviews.As advised we stated before ordering we stated we had a Gourmet card. Unfortunately the waiter then stated they don 't accept the card. We looked got the details up on the 'phone to show we were within their terms, but he wouldn 't budge. He also said no Manager or supervisor was available. Worse still he said it had happened more than once before which made me think they 've had opportunities to correct it but haven 't; presumably because their (very attractive 50% off) listing on the G.Society website brings people in and they believe people will just accept it and stay. We didn 't we moved to the lounge area to look for a Plan B. The waiter came over and, to his credit, he apologised and offered a 10% discount. It wasn 't enough to sway us. It 's one thing if there 's a problem, but if it 's resolved properly then fair enough, but on that poor show, I wouldn 't return.
