I had never been to the Royal Oak before. I came here for a pre-ordered Christmas dinner. I was expecting a pretty average meal as per usual pub Christmas dinners. Well, it was really fantastic. The roast beef was tender and the gravy was tasty. Even the Brussel sprouts were nice. My starter and pudding were exceptional too. Will definitely be back! I had my 50th birthday party in this pub, the gabelbuffet was fabulous and the staff was very friendly and welcoming, they all made a wonderful job in the service and eating. big pub to celebrate in x

Becoming a semi regular at quiz night, which is fun and enjoyable, food is lovely, service and staff great, overall the pub has a great atmosphere and is rapidly becoming a favourite place to go!
