The Honeycombe, Hungry Horse - HOUNSLOW

My husband and myself went here for a roast. We had missed the beef as it was later but the turkey was lovely. A good size portion. The prices are great and there is a good selection of food and drink. It is a large establishment and a good atmosphere for a drink or for a family meal. The staff are friendly and the new manager, Maria was extremely professional, polite, helpful and friendly.

Rich is the reason this place is going down hill. Since he has taken over as manager the service is appalling. I'm surprised there is even any repeat service here. He clearly shouldn't be in a customer service role as he doesn't know how to speak to anyone in a proper manner. You feel like you are being told off by a school teacher. We gave this place a second chance and I really wish we hadn't bothered. I thought maybe the guy is having a bad day but he clearly have a serious attitude problem. I'm now on the way home to order a takeaway because I refuse to sit in this place any longer. I won't be returning till I know this horrible person has been removed from his position.

I came into the restaurant today for a peaceful meal and witnessed the manager shouting at one of the staff members.I found this quite rude and had put me off my food. The staff members deserve to be treated better and with more respect. If the managers are not able to do that then they shouldn't have a job that holds responsibility as its unfair to the other staff members that are coming there to do there jobs.

How sad that this pub who we try so hard to support! Is not able to provide the most basics of providing quick service at the bar, only to be told half of the on tap beers are not available...its unstaffed for a pub that caters for families wanting to eat....not knocking the staff as they run around..well some do trying to provide a service...we have popped in often and chosen something on the menu only to be told the kitchen can't do...popped into day for a quick pint...the queue is so long we are now at wetherspoons...fast service...Good menu...come on who ever runs the honeycomb...you have no competition! Most of the local pubs have closed..us locally would love a pub on our doorstep...got no staff ...pay them more! If not shut down so flats can be built!

Feb 2023: Nice exterior to the building … mid century feel. Came here for breakfast, it was fine there was a special for two orders. Tea or coffee was not included. The breakfast was average overall. Staff who attended were attentive the place looked clean overall. Nothing particularly memorable though. ——— follow up review June 2023 I tried this pub again unfortunately it was a terrible experience on this occasion. I had come over from the US on vacation and wanted to take family out for food (breakfast/lunch) there were seven in our party. We turned up at opening at 11am, Saturday June 3rd 3023. We were met by a grumpy lady who seemed very inconvenienced that we there. We sat down and were promptly told the chef was prepping and there would be no food for 20 mins even though it says kitchens open at 11am. I initially said we'd wait and asked for a pint Greene King IPA, she said they don't have that even though there were pumps, I was very surprised since it's a Greene King pub. Another worker was around at the bar area and he looked very grumpy too. I am not use to this level poor service and staff attitude. We decided to leave terrible pub. Other Greene King pubs I've visited in London are so much better. For tourists I’d definitely avoid this location.
