It has been many years since we visited The Homestead. We have fond memories of meals in the Dining Room. The room itself is still stunning. The service was wonderful. The food was good. We got steaks, shrimp and grits and trout. The meals were tasty but very expensive/over priced. We missed the band that used to play during meals in the 1980s, 90s and 00s. Back then the dancing after dinner was so much fun. Its sad... View all feedback.
What podrozniczka60 doesn't like about The Dining Room:
It is a nice setting for meals while in Homestead. During our prior stays we ate both dinners and breakfasts here . Breakfast by the window ,with the view, is what we enjoyed this time. Their buffet breakfast is rather expensive but offers a nice variety of foods and breakfast propositions. It takes place from 7:30 to 10AM, We came after 9 AM and the omelet station was already closed. it really should be opened till... View all feedback.
Very disappointed that this was a mediocre buffet on a Friday night. Simply does not match the upscale dining room and live band playing atmosphere or the upscale resort. Will not be back.
The buffet for dinner was absolutely marvelous. The food was cooked to perfection and the favor was fantastic. As for the service you could not ask for better and with piano playing in background made for an evening to remember
I really hope the renovation comes with a complete overhaul of this restaurant. It 's historic and beautiful but has become notoriously awful over the past 7-8 years due to poor service and low food quality. Please resurrect this once majestic restaurant and make it a great destination again!
Breakfast buffet is so so.No other options for breakfast.I would rather want to eat at Jefferson if they open in the morning. But service and historic dinning room is fantastic.
A beautiful breakfast buffet was served with servers bringing coffee and other beverages. The criticism is that the food and coffee were only luke warm. Quality of the food was good. The omelet bar was good but discovered it too late. They would make fresh omelets to order and fried eggs. If I ate there at the dining room, I would go directly to the omelet bar. Also, very expensive. $70 for two.
