I had the trout and my husband had hamburger. we also shared a rhubarb dessert with ice cream that was very good. The service need to improve. We as well as the table next to us had to wait for a waitress/ waiter for a long time: the employees were not attentive!! Despite we will definitely come here again.

From the outside it loo... read more Stopped off here on our way back from the nearby Maritime museum. I'd researched the area and a few bloggers had recommended this place. From the outside it looked no different than any other harbor front eatery, but once inside we were immediately taken by the warm and cozy feel of the restaurant. With a name such as Fishland we obviously opted for fish. My friend took the salmon in butter based jus and I went for the monkfish in a lobster sauce with vegetables and jacket potatoes. Both pieces of fish were moist and cooked perfectly, a sheer delight. Accompaniments were spot on too, with the asparagus, broad beans and broccoli just right with a delicate crunch to them. All in all it was very nice, and considering the alternatives in the area I would recommend trying this one, though it is a tad more expensive.
