Dooen Hotel - Horsham

Lovely little hotel just out of Horsham towards Ouyen. Great friendly staff, wonderful to be able to have a good chat and laugh to the staff as well as good service. Little nick knacks around the hotel give you a laugh also, lovely wooden bench tables to eat a meal. We went for lunch and had the biggest steak sandwich with the tenderest beef ever. We have travelled the whole of Australia to find this gem. Well done to the staff, cook and hotel.

We have been tithe Dooen Hotel before for dinner with family and friends. The steak is always beautifully cooked as requested. The service is excellent. The Australiana style older building certainly adds to the atmosphere, the beer garden a nice relaxing area in summer and winter they have a fire place. I can recommend the meals, and the pub itself is also great for a night out with family or friends

We stayed a couple of nights at the Dooen Hotel and really enjoyed it. The food, friendly pub atmosphere and customer service were all terrific; our hosts (Mick & Helen) couldn't do enough for us.I'll definitely be stopping by and enjoying the Dooen Hotel when I'm up near Horsham again.

Had dinner here with four friends on Saturday 24/01/2015. The meals were awesome & excellent value for money. For starters we had garlic bread & sweet chilli bread. Our meals consisted of: Fishermans Basket, Scotch Fillet, Chicken Avacado Schnitzel, Calamari & I had the King Size Rump. All meals served with either salad or vegetables. My steak was perfect. I would even go to say it was better value & taste than The Barn Steak House at Home ( Mount Gambier) All meals reasonably priced & served quickly. Had a really good meal & itis a great country pub.

With only hours remaining for 2014 we joined friends for a meal @Dooen pub. Enjoyed sinking my teeth into the Aussie Parma and sipping on a few drinks with friends. Reved up to some great old Aussie rock classics with along way to the top....live bagpipes...blow ya mined away.....
