I was away with work on business and staying at the next door B&B (also amazing). They recommended I come down here for dinner and I wasn't disappointed. As a woman dining alone due to staying over for work, I am always filled with nerves and discomfort at eating alone. However from the moment I walked onto the premises I was greeted with a smile and polite conversation in the car park by a staff member running an errand and then the same by the waitresses. I was made to feel completely at ease and the food was incredible too. Would 100% recommend this resturant

I was staying at a nearby location when I was advised to dine at this restaurant. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff member was outstanding, providing a very warm welcome and offering suggestions for local beers and activities in the area. It was a lovely experience overall.

We didn't stay at the hotel but ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was first class nicely served. My husband had the braised blade of beef which he said melted in the mouth I had the sea bass, which was cooked to perfection. The hotel is a popular venue for weddings on being given a tour by the friendly welcoming owners, we can see why. Would certainly recommend regard a bill of £71 for 2 lovely courses each, 2 large beers, 2 vodka tonics plus coffees as extremely good value.

We were taken here today by a couple of our good friends who had noticed the venue when driving past last month. Friendly service with good sized portions of tasty food. No undue rush which was a nice change indeed. Would certainly go again.

We came To Random Hall for my mother 's birthday for afternoon tea. The china tea cups were dirty and my mother 's cup had dried rice stuck in the bottom of it. We didn 't complain about the crockery at the time as the tea itself was poor. The scones were prepared with an artificial cream and smear of jam. The selection of cakes were all chocolate cupcakes just with different toppings .... a raspberry, a strawberry and one with just icing sugar. My father doesn 't eat chocolate and so when I asked the waitress for a selection of cakes rather than just chocolate cupcakes she said that the chef had only made chocolate that day due to a wedding and the bride had requested this. I explained that the menu had said 'selection ' and serving cupcakes that I could have made with my 6 year old niece was far from acceptable. The waitress apologised and said that the manager would take £2.50 off each person and they wouldn 't charge for what my toddler had eaten (she ate a sandwich off my plate and refused the cupcake). It was a really disappointing experience and we left promptly as a cup of tea and sandwich was hardly worth waiting around for. The waitress was friendly and apologetic but we won 't be returning any time soon.
