Waffle House - Hopewell

At checkout, the cashier was distracted, chatting with others behind and beside him while he handled my transaction. I usually tip well, but I left nothing this time. The hamburger was mostly made of soy, as I suspected, and it was overcooked. I often enjoy dining at Waffle House, but this experience was quite disappointing.

It took 15 minutes just to receive the coffee we ordered, and we never got our ice water. After another 15 minutes, our food arrived, but it was incorrect. They only delivered part of what we ordered, and we were left waiting for the rest. When we finally asked for the manager, it turned out to be a mistake. He was rude, questioning whether we even wanted the food. Why would we order if we didn’t want it? We expected our meals to be served together, and apparently that was asking too much. We were waiting for two orders of bacon, two waffles, and a chicken melt, but the bacon just sat there unprepared while we received our plates without it. Overall, it was a complete disaster. In the end, we decided to leave rather than endure any more of the experience. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

If I could give this place zero stars, I certainly would. After attempting to dine here for three days, I regret not leaving after the first visit. The staff was rude, and it seems absurd that there were four chefs and only one server. Half of the tables were empty, yet when my party of two inquired about seating, we were told the other half was closed, and we weren't allowed to sit at all, even while waiting. It seems they don't care about tips? We definitely won't be returning. Save your time and money; the customer treatment here is appalling. You'd be better off spending your money at Denny's.

I love every single Waffle House I was in. Normally, they understaffed and worked their dicks, these people make my day every time. Thank you for your hard work! And BTW her breakfast is great!

Stopped in for breakfast. Hubby ordered the steak n eggs, I had the $5 eggs n grits breakfast. Mine was fine. Hubby said the steak tasted off we didn 't want to be those people who complain so he just left it on the plate. Waitress (who was wonderful by the way) noticed he didn 't eat the steak and asked why. He told her it tasted off she immediately offered to have another made, we declined as he was full but she did take it off the bill and asked the cook to check on the steaks. Food other than steak was good. It 's waffle house no surprises on what you are getting.
