What Mara Kagawa doesn't like about Kacha Thai:
Four years ago, this place was incredible! I ordered the duck curry to go, but unfortunately, there was so much hair in it that I initially thought the duck wasn't properly cleaned. After finding a long white hair, I was extremely disappointed. To top it off, I also paid for a coke that was not included in my order. View all feedback.
The waiting staff was so friendly and punctual. Food came hot and fresh you can say that everything was made to order!
I was looking for Thai in the area and found this great little spot. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was fast. The Fresh Roll appetizer came with four large rolls, heavy on the lettuce and one shrimp in each, but the peanut sauce it came with was delicious. I got the Cashew Nut dinner and would have eaten the entire (large) plate if I could have. Very good. I like how you can customize the spiciness of your dish, from level 1 to 7. I got level 3 and it was a good level for me (made my nose run). Will definitely go back.
They are delicious. My sister ordered the Pad Thai and I had the Roasted Duck Curry and Calamari. The curry was like sweet spicy and not too hot to where it would burn you mouth. Its was so balanced with the spices that I did not leave with a to go box. The service was very nice and welcoming. Ill definitely go there more often
We ate twice. It was good both times. My basil fried rice could have been spicier although I ordered level 3. Treasures, I have to bump to level 4!
Ordnete the Basil with Tofu #5 of 7 on the spicy scale, because usually I found restaurants, even Thai, do not make it spicy enough. It was perfectly spicy, with #5 next time, FINALLY a restaurant not afraid to cook with heat! I forgot to ask that it be made with low oil, because oil makes me sick, but they cooked it without the crutch of oil for taste. Good taste and vegetable combinations. Omnivore visitors with us also enjoyed their meals. The food quality is the vegetables that are cooked for perfection and fresh. Staff friendly and cheerful. The shares were fair and the prices were for Thai food. Do not come here for an atmosphere-basic environment, sufficient seating, but no ambience. Probably my favorite meal in the last few months. In fact, I had Thai in Washington DC twice this week, and this restaurant hit them hands down.
