The Tides Family - Hoodsport

First time leaving a review because this was unbelievably bad service. We waited 1.5 hours and our order was never taken so we eventually got up and left, something I’ve never done in a dining experience. They had one server taking orders who never so much as looked in our direction, and served others who arrived after us. It was busy when we got there, so we gave these folks the benefit of the doubt, but the rush definitely died down and still, not even an acknowledgment that we had waited there so long. Honestly, don’t bother coming here even though it’s the only breakfast joint in the area, especially if you have a 206 number because they genuinely seemed to discriminate against ‘city folks.’ Left hungry and was about to buy the most expensive menu items…just don’t bother.

Great hearty food, good portion size. The clam chowder was excellent! The eggs Benedict came with a very generous amount of Hollandaise. Kids breakfast platter is a great deal and the home fries were very crispy. You can choose low carb sides with some entrees. Nice casual stop on our road trip!

The food is ok here, but the service was terrible. Host/waiter and waitress looked and acted like they didn't want to be there. Once the food arrived, there was no service whatsoever. This place used to have good people working here, but not anymore. I can understand slow service, but no service whatsoever was a new experience. There was no coffee refill during the meal. No one stopped to ask how the meal was, and the check wasn't even brought to us like other tables. There are other places to eat in the area much better than this restaurant.

I eat her often because I am staying at the RV Park just down the street, so I've been here for breakfast and lunch not dinner yet but that'll be next. Every time I come here food is delicious the service is great and the presentation of the food on the plate is perfect! I think it would be really hard to go wrong to come here for a meal!

The food was excellent. The staff was okay, the only issue I had was with the ginger redhead *****. The rest of the staff was sweet and humbling especially the young boy. The redhead woman was snobby and acted as if she was too good to work there. Honestly not sure how to feel just because of her but do recommend the country benedict.
