The decor is traditionally Japanese, with photos of Japanese celebrities who have visited adorning the walls leading up to the seating area. Vintage Japanese cinema posters cover the walls as well. After a long day, I sat right at the bar, where the crowd was mainly made up of Japanese and Japanese Americans, which led to some interesting conversations. The izakaya offers genuinely authentic cuisine, along with a selection of Japanese and Hawaiian beers on tap. I ordered the tuna bowl and a Kirin beer, and found the prices to be reasonable, complemented by fast and friendly service. The atmosphere can be a bit loud due to the bar setting and the number of patrons. For larger groups, there are spacious seating areas and tables available!
