Feedback
We found Smith King by choosing a random place from Open table. We got into the habit of doing this because we're always looking for new places near us to try and we haven't been disappointed yet. Smith King is right in the heart of downtown. We both had drinks off their cocktail menu and both were very well made, refreshing, and different. We ate the lobster mac n cheese and french onion soup after starting with a cheese and fruit appetizer. The cheeses were very good, and the fruit that they were paired with made them even better. The lobster mac n cheese... well, let's just say we're looking forward to ordering it again. decent chunks of lobster, nice blend of cheese, and very good. We were fighting over it. The french onion soup was one of the best I've had. We both agreed that it was very good. the flavor of the broth is slightly different than we're used to, almost a little citrusy or tangy.. but we love that it is not overly salty, and even after sitting for awhile, the bread and cheese on the top didn't compromise the flavor of the broth or muddle the broth any (usually the broth gets whitish when the bread starts dissolving into it. Overall, we're very happy with this find. We're looking forward to going back again and trying more things off their menu.
