We only stayed a couple nights in Hong Kong and have had some pretty good food but our meal at Beet was by far the best meal that we have had. My favorites were 1) the hamachi with kefir cream, caviar, and peaches, and 2) the maitake mushrooms with walnut emulsion, hollandaise, and autumn truffle. Overall, the meal was full of flavour and I definitely recommend eating here. View all feedback.
The overall experience and food was below par, especially when in anticipation from these high reviews. We tried every single dish on the tasting menu and what was not, we ordered a la carte. The tomato and seaweed starter was far too salty and left a terrible taste in my mouth and so was the amuse-bouchée. The waiting staff did not ever ask how the food was and our plates were infrequently replaced. The main dishes: the halibut, the New Territories potato and the New Territories pork belly were far better. Nevertheless, they were nothing to write home about. The famous pork belly was also far too chewy and the meat quite tough. The halibut and the potato mains were good but in considering the price and the standards of the competing restaurants in the area, Beets is far less worth your time, money and -most importantly- stomach space. This was truly disappointing as I was so excited to try this highly acclaimed novelty but was left severely underwhelmed mostly by the lack of enthusiasm on part of the waiting staff and also by the taste of the food.
Eating is amazing here in beet. In the evening everything is in the menu. we ordered mosquitoes to start and order vegetarian tasting as well as regular tasting. they can add HKD180 to add an additional dish — lobster! highlight: brot and butter chestnuts pumpkin lobster with fermented carrot is good! sea bass was also very tender! we thought the dishes were small at the beginning, but we could hardly go out of the restaurant at the end: excellent location large decorated and environment detailed introduction to each court main! yummy!
When they are together with their lover or family in the evening, they can enjoy the court in a good atmosphere. although I went with a man. from the appetizer to the main dishes and desserts, they can enjoy a lot of delicious directed to cheap trips. especially I recommend steak and fish dishes with wein. if they go to hong kong, they should definitely visit!

Excellent food, with lovely wine pairing to go with it. Superb staff with attention to detail. Clearly the chef thinks long and hard about his dishes as these are exceptionally well balanced. The use of local produce is something of an example. Recommended.
