What Bryce Parisian doesn't like about Bijas Vegetarian Yī Niàn Sù Shí:
I am a budget-conscious person and I heard good things about Biljas. The food is delicious and affordable, with a great variety of choices and tasty flavors. They also offer unlimited rice and soup, which is a plus. However, for the small portion of food I received for 83 bucks, it wasn't the best value. Additionally, the restaurant is not very easy to locate. View all feedback.
At the hku with workmates, we held a proposal and then ate for lunch. it was important and was quite reasonable. a lot of change. If I were a student, I can imagine I'd eat a lot here!
Had tee for hkd 29th Chinese dimming and carrot cake. plus very kind home brewed apple drink
I only traveled 45 minutes to come here. small sign in the window
Lunch and dinner is pay by weight style buffet with large variety of dishes including Chinese vegetable dishes, stews/curry, dim sum, mock meats and Chinese desserts. Unlimited refills for rice and soup. Most dishes are vegan. Staff are friendly and always offering to help. Inexpensive compared to other vegetarian eateries in HK.
I ate at this restaurant so many times during my exchange studies at The University of Hong Kong. There are many kinds of tasty foods available at the buffet during lunchtime and dinner. Breakfast and afternoon tea aren't bad either! There was one time where one of the foods at the buffet had honey in it but the manager let me know when I was about to take that food. He said it's the only food that has honey. In addition, some of the beverages use honey, which is clearly stated (e.g. lemon drink honey). I am not sure whether the milk served with coffee is cow's milk or not but I always drunk my coffee black. Other than these three non-vegan cases, all the other food served is vegan. The staff is extremely friendly and they always made my day! If you are an HKUer and eat at this restaurant frequently, the staff will start to recognize you and they will start talking to you more and more. Sometimes they gave free food like some berries or a couple of buns. All of this gave me even more reasons to come back to this restaurant.
