We were in town on Tour de France weekend. Most places were reservation only. We were seated in two minutes and the meal was excellent. Had brisket and steak…wonderful! Wine and beer was great. Got the olives and bread as a snack. Great service and great food. Mayte was our server and she was awesome

Very good products, not expensive and very well done. Meat and fish with vegetables were awesome. Desserts also very nice. The service was good and fast. I recommend you this restaurant located in the central square of Hondarribia.

Four of us sat outside and enjoyed a lovely meal from this restaurant. The menu is varied, which we liked. The quality and portion size spot on. Wine slipped down as we took in the wonderful atmosphere all round us. It’s the type of place to go for a one course meal.

We came for lunch and was happy to see that the menu was also in English not only Spanish! My wife did order St Jaques (Scallops) with fried mushroom sounded good but in came Clams w mushroom no Scallops she did like it so we did not complain. But the price 22 Euros for a few clams and some mushrooms was sure not cheap. I did order something with egg, ham and truffle. The waitress came and put a spoon beside my knife and fork which did surprise me as I know I did not order any soup. In came something looking like a thick soup with one slice of ham on top. It was not bad but what it was I dont know but I do know that I could not feel any truffeltaste then name of the dish was Huevo Trufado and I do translate that with my very limited Spanish to Eggs w truffle!

It was a cold evening and this bar/restaurant enticed us with its comfy chairs, warmth and local crowds of Basque, Spanish and French speakers. Most were there for the Thursday evening pintxos although some went on to share good small plates. We moved on to one of the best sirloin steaks I’ve ever tasted plus another glass of red and a pretty good cheesecake. A very pleasurable couple of hours.
