I had a lovely dinner experience this evening. The service was excellent. For dinner, the price per person was between £30 and £40. I would rate the food a 5 out of 5, the service also a 5, and the atmosphere a solid 4.
Quick service. The steak dinner was forgettable. While the steak was cooked to perfection, it wasn't very tender. The chips were undercooked, and the mushrooms had a burnt fat flavor. There wasn't anything major to complain about; however, if I lived nearby, I wouldn't feel compelled to come back. The staff were efficient but a bit distant. Service: Dine-in, Meal type: Dinner.
Lovely venue.. building has so much history. The Sunday roast is amazing, good hearty portions and full of flavour.
Great place for a Sunday roast, great quality food and portion sizes fit for a king. They even have plastic rubs for people to take the food away as the portion sizes are so generous. Staff were very friendly even under pressure of full service on a busy Sunday. If I was going to pick a negative it would be that the car park is not big enough.
