What Linda Spencer doesn't like about The White Horse Inn:
Stayed for one night only. The whole place is very tired and in need of a refurbishment. Mattress and pillows on the bed were of a very poor quality. (Although staff said it was new No toiletries in the bathroom and towels very worn and grey with age. The owner and staff tried their best and treated us well. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms: Not of a good standard and in need of a good deep clean and refurbishment. Note... View all feedback.

Visited this pub in holmfirth, as it was used in the TV show 'last of summer wine ' beautiful looking from the outside with a lot of memory from the show at the walls. it was a little gone, how cold it was in the waitress that swore over us while they choose from the menu. would have a little more time to study the menu, especially since the pub was empty. eating was okay, nothing special with average prices. would visit again, but only for the nostalgia.
My wife and I were in the white horse inn at jackson bridge holmfirth (famous for the pub so often seen in the classic long TV series last of the summer wine) and we highly recommend it not only to stop as a place for a drink, but also to stay as a relaxing and informative place. thanks to the renter and his wife vicky.
This pub is a charming local spot with clean rooms in the bed and breakfast section. The landlord is friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that they are not open during the day for lunch. Overall, it is a great place to visit.
I went for Sunday lunch and it was mediocre at best. In my opinion, paying £15 for a one-course average Sunday lunch is not the best value for money. I'm sure many people will enjoy it, but regrettably, I will be looking elsewhere. I may still stop in for a beer now and then, as the service was excellent. Food and drinks: Average Sunday lunch, £15 for 1 course. Service: 5. Location: 4.
