Shabo’s Barbecue - Hollywood

The ambience and customer service let the venue down. Videos of food prep being playing while eating was a bit off putting raw meet and fish being butchered probably isn’t necessary although I understand they were showing the process.. Customer service was basic, staff didn’t smile once. Waited a good while before being offered drink service, there was only one other table in use. No recognition of my birthday, that was listed on the booking. Food was good, lamb tagine was tasty.

Great meal! The eggplant lamb maklouba is outstanding! Will definitely return.

We were seated and waited 10+ mins to be given a menu (or water or anything. Others were seated after us and taken care of. Finally we stopped a waitress and asked for a menu and water and we were told they “could go get someone.” We left. Driver to our next restaurant said the lack of service or interest in customer service is pretty common.

The food was pretty tough, not what I expected of Mediterranean

Our server was fantastic and the food was delicious. All four of us enjoyed our meal. The dishes were prepared with some spice but not too much. Everything was fresh and portions were plentiful. We ate outside. The inside of the restaurant was beautifully decorated.
