Playa Beach And Grill - Hollywood

Went for convenience with my wife when we arrived to the hotel. It took over 30 minutes for a drink order, and over an hour to receive our food. Not only was the service terrible, our tab had the gratuity added when we received the bill. It would be one thing if we had a party of eight or more, but it was only the two of us eating. Once I realized that they include the gratuity to the bill, it all made since why they didn't seem to care.

Pricy but overall good eatery on the lower-deck pool level near the private beach of the Diplomat Resort. Beautiful view and great ocean breeze. The food overall was tasty, with a disappointment in the chips and guacamole (stale chips and flavorless scooped guac), and a surprise in the tostones drunken chicken (pictured; perfectly fried tostones and beautifully cooked/flavored chicken). The burger was good, but nowhere near worth the $21 they charge for it. The off-menu wings (a dozen for $25) were also quite nice, with the only downside being a handful of very dry pieces. Just be prepared for solid food (with some variability... much better or worse dishes) at exorbitant resort prices.

Great location in the shadow. But it has two major fault. 1 the food is very very generic. There is no surprise here. It is basically fast food standard. 2 the prices are what you pay for a really good restaurant. I would say it is maybe 25-40 percent too expensive. Resort prices.

Great location and food, but not too remarkable. As mentioned in other reviews, the service was very slow. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, I would not recommend going here. The food was good, though a bit expensive. I ate the double cheeseburger which was pretty decent relative to other burgers. Ultimately, the location was nice, the food was good, and restaurant clean. My only concern would be the price and food wait time.

Right on the beach in the hotel offers a beautiful view and atmosphere. Great service as we could enjoy a few plates. Had the pulled pork sandwich (eye), fish tacos and fishceviche. The star of the show was the Ceviche - probably my favorite ceviche of the trip. Can?t recommend enough- friendly pico de gao feel, but absolutely incredible. That would come back!
