She knows my wife’s usual order, but instead of asking both of us, she went straight to my wife and asked, “Just your cold brew?” A simple, “What can I get you two?” would have been much more appropriate. While I appreciate that she remembers regulars' orders, good customer service means acknowledging all customers equally. This barista often comes across as rude and brusque, a sentiment my wife has echoed, noting that she appears to be frequently “in a funk and rude.” This type of behavior shouldn't be overlooked as just her personality. I would appreciate it if management could address this situation—unless she is, in fact, management. I really don’t want to start my day with someone else's negative energy when all I'm looking for is my morning coffee.
