Received most courteously. Although quite busy, the service was as prompt as needed. Food was more than adequate and served hot. Drinks were of a good range and again served quickly. Very good value in a very good meal View all feedback.
What mariep doesn't like about The Kings Suite Restaurant at The Kingscliff Hotel:
The Menu presented was very limited and not the one shown on the website. On selecting a bottle of wine from the list presented to us then five minutes later told that it was not available and we had been given the wrong Wine List. Our first course of whitebait was vastly overcooked, the steak was passable. On the whole, very disappointing. View all feedback.
In a word, awful room shabby, bathed and a little unclean. tw in the room didn't work and there was no phone staff friendly enough, but.
Been here for afternoon tea, limited but ok, probably better to go for a drink at the outdoor terrace.
They said they didnt have a booking for me even though received confirmation email and a reminder email. Said they dont use opentable as a booking ref any more. Staff rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend this place to eat. Ruined my dads 75th birthday.

Having arrived at 5.45pm for our Anniversary meal (we were asked if it was a special occasion on booked and I said it was) you had a Wedding Reception so it was busy. I went to bar and got two drinks and said I had booked a table to be informed the restaurant was closed because of the Wedding, I said I had booked and voiced my disapproval. She went to see someone and said yes ok but if you would like to have your drinks first as the waitress was busy with the wedding! After 45mins passed I went back to the bar and asked what was going on we were shown to the restaurant, which looked more like a billiards room. There were no tables laid and nobody else in it. The waitress put down our knives and folks and a paper serviette, still no table cloth. She took our drinks order but we did have to explain what Brut meant, a bottle of Prosecco and a pint of lager. The menu was typed on a plain A4 sheet on a clip board, this was NOT the menu on your web site. We looked round and there was no atmosphere, music just silence it was more like a working man’s club! After looking at the menu we both decided this was not for us so I went back to the bar and informed we were going but the waitress had already uncorked the Prosecco and poured the pint so I paid £33,for the drinks bill and left. Twice the waitress said to us she had told someone to take the menu off the web site. This is the worst dining experience we have ever encountered hence this complaint.
