Description
Motel 66 reads like a classic, budget highway stop: affordable rooms, pet-friendly policies, ample parking for cars and RVs, an attached Mexican restaurant and a vintage Route 66 sign.
However, numerous guests report serious issues—poor cleanliness with bed-bug claims, clogged plumbing, noisy and run-down rooms, erratic or rude management, safety concerns from vagrant activity, and sparse in-room amenities—making it a risky choice despite its convenient location.

DO. NOT. COME. HERE. That may seem like an exaggeration, and to be honest I hoped it was. I understand that the price was very cheap and affordable, however, I think this interaction could have been better. This was such a bad experience and we didn 't even get to stay in the motel. Coming up to the front desk, the woman said that there was confusion with the reservation we had made earlier. We were also notified that the website we had registered earlier was not working correctly. Even then, she refused to give us a refund for our supposed lost reservation . She was very rude to my family when speaking to us trying to get her name as well as information to reach out to the manager and owner, to which she refused all before closing the door on us. Looking back at the photos, she is not the same woman who owns the motel. However, we will not be coming back to this place in the future. I have not stayed in the rooms, but taking a look at the other rooms will help you out.Noteworthy details: Rude. Frightening. Tiring.
Sheets were dirty. I was stranded when my vehicle broke down. Front desk lady offered to pick me up from Safeway . Asked if I would give her $20 for the ride? I said yes and when checking in was informed that it would be $30 for ride.

My stay at Motel 66 was awesome. It was very close to Interstate 40. We could park right outside our room and has a huge Parking area for RV's and Trucks close to the rooms. It has a restaurant Somberitos attached to Hotel serving authentic Mexican food. The Motel has original Route 66 sign which is very Historic. The staff was very friendly offered us a room with 2 Queen for a very affordable Price. They allow Pets as well. I liked the tall trees and roses in the front of rooms. The room was huge with a Hot shower nice and clean. I had a great stay here and would highly recommend you to stay at this Motel.
This is one of the worst stays we 've ever had. We booked a king room for two nights. We left after one night, forfeiting a night 's payment. They put us in a shabby and dirty double queen room. After complaining we were given an upgraded king room. It, too, was shabby. There were no amenities to speak of... no shampoo, Kleenex, etc. Not even an extra roll of toilet paper. The windows were dirty. The floor had probably not been cleaned for a year. There was dust/dirt accumulated along the windows. Towels were old and thin and stained. We couldn 't sleep until late in the night because of rowdy neighbors outside in the parking lot near our door. Our host seemed strung out on drugs or something.Go elsewhere.
