Food-sadly really average, my husband had a burger from the specials, it was cold on arrival, very little taste. I had a chicken dish with rice, tasted a little like sweet and sour, but again not a lot of taste. Disappointed after seeing a lot of reviews on social media.

When in Holbox, Luuma is a must! Upscale food, drinks and atmosphere with a down to earth staff! Jorge is a wonderful bartender. He is passionate in his craft. The kitchen staff quickly, efficiently senda out their carefully crafted creations! Luuma is not to be missed!

However, on a busy weeknight, the food tasted pre-prepared and what should have tasted fried was soggy and seemingly reheated,..but worse than an air fryer; it tasted microwaved. The drinks tasted very acidic to hide how little alcohol they had in them. Perhaps living in a major US city gives us access to the best international cuisine, but this wasn’t in the same league as a gyros hut. They recommend 3-4 tapas per person. Out of 6 ordered, there was only one we enjoyed that had shredded beef over plantains w pico de gallo, but I know it’s something I can make at home. After 2 drinks each (for two) and 6 tapas total was appx $185 USD
