Reviews - The Edge
Reviews summary
Tucked into a charming Hogsback setting, this family-friendly restaurant is celebrated for standout pizzas, creative breakfasts, hearty comfort dishes and indulgent desserts, with good vegetarian and vegan options. Warm, relaxed ambience, fun on-site labyrinth and gift shops, and ample free parking make it a popular stop for locals and hikers. Service is generally friendly and helpful, though it can be slow at times; note limited kitchen hours and some inconsistent dishes (notably the steak).

What Lourens Linde dislikes about The Edge:
The quality of the steak was way below expectations for the price. Save yourself the disappointment and simply steer clear of it, it will spoil your experience. My wife's food was fine and the service was good enough. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: R 300–350 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.

We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at this restaurant, and the food was outstanding. For dinner, we had a lamb shank and a sirloin steak. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes and vegetables that accompanied it were delicious as well. The Greek salad was exactly as a Greek salad should be—simple and hearty. The salmon spinach rosti was exceptional, and the Full Edge breakfast was even better. The coffee was great, too. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience!
The food was outstanding, and the service was incredibly friendly. I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service a solid 5, and the atmosphere also a 5.
