We had looked at the m... read more We had made a reservation for Saturday lunchtime and were then given the breakfast menu. When we asked, they brought us the “lunch menu”. We had looked at the menus on the internet beforehand; there were great dishes that weren't on the lunch menu. When we asked, we were told that the evening menu was online (but unfortunately it wasn't listed anywhere). By then I was already served because the only real lunch on the menu was the roast pork...otherwise they only had spaghetti carbonara or Bolognese...cooked cheese and other little things. So we ordered the crusty roast with cabbage and dumplings and a portion of cooked cheese. This came after an hour... given that there wasn't much going on, it was far too long. With a crusty roast, the name itself suggests that the crust should be crispy, but it wasn't. That means we had two slices of roast on the plate that were about 2 cm thick and 5 cm high. You could eat exactly half of them because the rest was just fat. The dumplings were ok, but the cabbage was nothing special either. The cooked cheese was served with a small piece of bread, a good idea in itself, but the bread was very compact in the middle. Various pickled vegetables were then arranged on the slate board. Too much frills and not enough cooked cheese for the money. The ambience can definitely be highlighted positively. We might try the restaurant again in the evening, maybe they'll try a little harder. Food (straw pork roast and potato waffle with ratatouille) was beautifully prepared and tasty. There was even a small jug of sauce with the crust roast I think the interior design is really great.
