Rita's Italian Ice - Hoboken

They redeemed themselves by changing the employees. Finally greeted with a smile and was really pleased with my service.

This was my first time in life trying Rita's, and I had heard great things about the chain. I ordered the strawberry watermelon ice and it was super refreshing. It's a little sweeter than the things I would normally care to eat but the flavor was good overall. My BF ordered the custard. It was also my first time trying any custard. It's too thick for my preference (and I know it's meant to be), but I mixed some custard with a bite of my ice and actually really enjoyed it. Apparently, there's a menu item that I missed that's Italian ice with a dollop of custard so I'll make sure I get that next time. Not sure if their Italian ice flavors rotate, but I hope so. Would love to see different flavors on there since strawberry watermelon was the only one that caught my eye.

The salted caramel ice cream sandwich was yummy. But I felt like it had a little freezer burn sorta taste. Anyways, the toffee coffee shake was like $6 and it was soooo NOT worth it. It was above average for the quality of the shake but as for the taste and price relevance it is not on each others level. The venue itself has 1 restroom. And there is seating inside and outside. However the seating inside is very limited and tight so get someone to grab your seat while you wait in line. Parking is across the street. Luckily its free. LOL. Anyways I will definitely try to order another ice cream sandwich next time and I will try to order the blue velvet cake. I would say that this place is like a... try at least once in your life type place lol.

I'll just love this little Rita's store. They have this cookie dough Italian ice flavor that I can't find any other Rita's and it's the best!

One of the only Rita's in the area so it got an extra star just for that. I wish they pushed for this to be an all year round Rita's like in AC as they are not open during the winter. I usually get a gellati or a misto but their regular ice is good too. They usually have alot of different ice flavors green apple and black cherry are my favorites. Fast service, never a crazy wait, friendly staff, but it's not easy to park in the area it is in so be conscious of that when driving there, usually it's fast enough where u can double park and run in without getting a ticket or having an issues especially if you know what u want already.
