Jack Co - Hoboken

Description
At this lively restaurant, an early New Year’s Eve dinner revealed a mix of positives and negatives. With a reservation in hand, prompt seating was appreciated, although high-top tables proved uncomfortable for longer stays. Diners enjoyed a diverse menu featuring well-executed dishes like gnocchi and jalapeño ribs, complemented by a robust drink selection, including seasonal drafts. However, service fell short, with long waits for food and inattentive staff detracting from the experience. While the atmosphere was inviting, the challenges with service suggest a potential revisit on a less busy evening might be in order for a more seamless dining experience.

Yummy food, the octopus was so good, as a starter. The shrimp roll was so yummy wit a homemade brioche bun!
While I give the restaurant high marks for atmosphere and average for food the service was ridiculously slow. We sat for a good 10 minutes before the waitress came to the table to take drink orders. And then another 15 minutes before she came back to take dinner order. Our appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time but there was a big delay with the entrees. Probably 40 minutes to get the entrees. The waitress then never even came back to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. We had to get up to find her and ask for a check.
I had the worst service at a restaurant in Hoboken. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I won't be returning.
