Fran's Italian Deli - Hoboken

Absolutely amazing! This place is a Hoboken classic and a must-visit for both locals and visitors. Their mozzarella (known as "mutz") is fresh and made by hand. The bread is just right, with the perfect balance of crust and chewiness. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you're in the mood for a traditional Italian sub, eggplant Parmesan, or similar dishes, Fran's is definitely the place to go!

Absolutely fantastic! I visited with my family and ordered the prosciutto mozzarella sandwich and the pesto chicken sandwich, both of which were incredible. The mozzarella is made fresh daily and is the best I've ever had—the prosciutto was also incredibly fresh and delicious. The prices are very reasonable too.

UPDATE: I decided to give them another chance, and I’m glad I did! All the issues from my previous order were addressed—this time, the food arrived quickly, was fresh, and absolutely delicious. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4.

While it's not the coziest spot for dining, the sandwiches are delicious and offer excellent value. The staff is friendly and quite accommodating. It's an ideal place for a quick lunch. EDIT: Rest in peace, Fran's. You'll be missed.

I have to say, this salad was outstanding! The mozzarella was incredibly fresh. I'm very particular about chicken, and when I say that the chicken was genuinely delicious, I mean it. It was diced just right for my salad. The portion size was excellent for the price. My coworker ordered a grilled chicken pesto sandwich and he enjoyed it as well! We will definitely be ordering from here again! An extra bonus: GrubHub estimated a delivery time of 45 minutes to an hour, but it arrived in just 25 minutes!
