What william sprague doesn't like about Pacific Rim:
Food was mediocre I got the filet mignon and there was a toothpick in it and I couldn't see it, also I had to send it back because it was overcooked, and after sending it back it came back still not how I ordered it, drink was only refilled once, sweet tea was good. It was way too expensive for that experience. View all feedback.
We were there a few years ago when the food was actually fusion and were determined to come back because it was so delicious.. we ended up going because everything was already closed by 9 p.m. suggest ordering a well know pizza instead. It's now extremely expensive for the basic product and riding on the good past advertisements and good reviews...now it's a slim choice of generic Americanized Oriental food. Calamari was tender but breading had no flavor... Served with marinara- would have been better with cocktail sauce to give it some life.. we asked for more lemon from the bartender and it helped.. The two drinks we ordered were tasty.. But unassuming. You could get them anywhere. House salads were skimpy, but fresh produce. The curry was neither mango or overwhelming. The beef tips and shrimp with mushrooms WAS sizzling... We enjoyed the flavor but the stir fried rice was bland with little additional ingredients. Again not as good as some freezer dinners grocery... And was NOT beef tips... It was sliced beef and broccoli with a few tasty , admittedly well seasoned and tender shrimp tossed in... Not worth the money... Atmosphere? Generic and sadly, our local panda Express has more personality. Pretty bench in the entrance painted with koi was the only thing we commented on. On the whole? Quick trip to Hobbs was not worth the money we spent.
Pacific Rim was a fantastic venue for us to celebrate a big 50th surprise birthday party in Hobbs, NM. The staff made everything work smoothly for us and all of our guests. Staff had organized all the seating area with a nice buffet style menu and then additional appetizers at each table for guests as they arrived. The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. Thank you to Charlie and his team for making this a wonderful memory for our family.
The food was awful… the drinks however were great. We sent back our stir fry then the sushi came it was just all over a terrible experience. The manager went up to the wrong table to offer them a refund but it was our table who had complained about the food. They took off the stir fry but even then we still paid a $80 bill ate none of the food. Super disappointing.
The food was terrible, but the drinks were fantastic. We sent our stir fry back, and when the sushi arrived, it was just as disappointing. Overall, it was a very unfortunate experience. The manager mistakenly approached the wrong table to offer a refund, when it was actually us who had complained about the food. They did remove the stir fry from our bill, but we still ended up paying $80 and didn’t eat any of the food. It was really disappointing.
It's been a while since we visited the Pacific Rim, and it has changed significantly. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend it!
