The METZ on the Bay - Hobart

Well, I was taken along to try their nachos and by golly I was happy. the portion was huge and they contained the chili con carne, the avocado and the sour cream. measure them like all the bugs to eat, but this is the half of the fun and if the rest of their lunch guests eat the same dish then it makes the entire experience more pleasant. my only reduction in the points was to bring out the easy delay with the food, but there were 8 of us to forgive them, I go back to Christmas to have the same dish and 4 is a high assessment for me. I'm underwhelmed by eating out today, so if I get more than I negotiate for there really is a push for me.

Has definitiw a make-over and what has made for a different this - nothing really structural, but certainly was refreshed. new menu weinliste gives a lot of choice and is cheap. have had a few lunches here last month or so and is busy every time. service attentive friendly. eat excellent a large, well-priced selection of beer wines.

Reopened with new management. beautiful lacquer job and general fichte. excellent fpod and good price weinliste. a few service clock lights must sort, but overall a very pleasant way to spend a afternoon in the hobart sun.

Fairly standard pub food if they just want something basic. the sweet potato friars were delish. the service was fast and the layout of the metz is really cool. great for Uni-Chang-Outs.

This place is awesome. Love the building and the lay out of th MetZ for starters. Fantastic service, fantastic food. An awesome environment. Can't fault it.. Been there on a few occasions, some were for a meal some for a few drinks. Not living over here I always try to stop and have a meal here in the lovely Sandy Bay if I can! If you're in the area try it out, if your in Hobart it's a short drive!
