We had a lazy Sunday afternoon at Shambles Brewery and sampled all the craft beers they produce, all were very good the coffee dark ale had a big hit of coffee and would really appeal to the coffee lover. The bar snacks were very tasty and promptly delivered to our table. The venue is very quirky and I note has been nominated in the architecture awards. What User doesn't like about Shambles Brewery:
Food and beer were very good but the heating in the place was totally inadequate - had to leave early because it was so cold despite wearing a heavy jacket. Staff just said there was nothing they could do about it. A real shame as would have been very good otherwise. Get some heaters ! View all feedback.
Good location, good beer and sorry we weren't wanted. I called mid morning on a Friday and asked if it was possible to reserve a table for ten. Was told that was open sating but for groups of ten or more they could and then it seemed the person got busy and hustled me off the phone with "But you should be fine so so don't worry" Click. Dial Tone. When our group of ten showed at 5.30 all the tables were taken or reserved and when I went to the bar and mentioned this was basically ignored and dismissed. It was a shame because we were sending off a relative and wanted to toast them at Shambles specifically due to the name and its link to our family. No real effort was made on phone or on arrival so assume the place is doing very well and doesn't need repeat or group business. So congrats for your success however I am as if not more interested in customer service as I am in your beer and there is plenty of options in Hobart so I wont be back. We went to a wine bar up the road and spent 3 hours and $600 toasting and celebrating our grandparents where we received incredible svc.Wont mention the name as its isn't about them, I will review them also.
Having visited nearly all of Hobart's breweries in the past few months, Shambles takes the crown as the nicest for true beer lovers. The rotating taps are excellent, our favourite is the Double IPA. These guys and gals take their beer seriously and deserve to be rewarded for their fantastic product. Just a short walk from the Hobart CBD.

We only nibbled on the chips, so can't talk about the food--but we got two flights so we could try all of their beers. We were NOT disappointed. Every beer had great flavour and the atmosphere fit perfectly.Staff were super friendly when talking about the beers.Try the coffee stout--was the standout by far.
