Roaring Grill - Hobart
Roaring Grill
Description
The Roaring Grill has received mixed reviews from diners, ranging from excellent to disappointing. While some praised the delicious food and attentive service, others were dissatisfied with the quality of their meals, particularly the steaks being overcooked and tasteless. Complaints were also made about rude and dishonest staff members, such as a manager who was confrontational about a customer's order. Despite some negative experiences, others found the atmosphere warm and relaxing, the portion sizes generous, and the service accommodating, especially for group bookings and special occasions. Ultimately, The Roaring Grill appears to be a hit or miss dining destination, with some patrons vowing never to return while others highly recommend it for those who love a good steak.

TOURIST TRAP . Pub quality food being sold at restaurant prices. I was so disappointed, and the meat quality was so cheap. Save yourself and go elsewhere. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Been coming to Hobart with friends for several years, and as foodies always looking for new places. Found this cracking gem in North Hobart, just a 5 min Uber from Salamanca. Recently under new management, our experience, the ambiance, food, and wine and service provided were all first class and as good as anything we’ve experienced in Salamanca. Open fire perfect getting out of the winter chill, an exceptional and great value wine list, mouth watering steaks and extensive options including seafood and vegetarian dishes. Highly recommend. Thankyou Simon for looking after us along with the Roaring Team!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $120–140
Went there last night for a feed, haven’t been there for some time. The meal was fantastic, well priced, service was swift and the staff were great. I have an Angus steak, cooked perfectly to my liking and easy to eat. A friend had the ribs, fantastic. Other meals including fish were all great, all plates were empty. Highly recommend. Top service, amazing food. Amazing effort for a Friday night in dark mofo season and a large group booking to boot. I expected to have a restricted menu as we were a group of 17 but oh no, not at roaring grill!! Superb start! The only constructive feedback I would have is please state correct numbers on the menu (perhaps my oversight, I 'd had a few beers) . E.g. Sliders were stated as one slider when in fact two were given per serve and the 'large ' scotch fillet I ordered for main.... I was expecting nothing more than a steak and red wine jus (which for the record would 've been enough) on it 's own so I ordered sides that I never touched as I was ready to roll out the door on full loaded mode. Steak was cooked to perfection and everything we ordered was 5 stars. Thank you roaring grill we 'll be back again for sure. Room for desert? No way, your entrees and mains were more than enough to cure my massive appetite for greatly satisfying food. Again thank you. #foodbaby
The welcome was warm service attentive and considerate environment very comfortable. Now the food ... awesome!! Seriously, if you’re looking for great quality food and an un rushed dining experience this place has it all. I selected it from the reviews left on TripAdvisor and decided that I’ll just have to go with the reviews and the venue’s website. I think the website undersells it all but there’s no doubt in my mind it’s my all time favourite dining establishment in Hobart. We even had desserts ... yum!!! Mother’s Day for my parents was memorable because Roaring Grill provided first class food and service thanks guys!
