In Hobart for the weekend thought I would try somewhere I had not eaten before. Saturday night midwinter is cold and while there were others in the place was not crowded and the service was great, friendly and informed. The food was all great quality and came quickly and there was a good range of beers and wine to accompany your choice of meals.Would I go back - yes. View all feedback.

We had a wonderful welcome from the staff. Drinks served swiftly. Interesting menu, shared some of the entree plates - tempura vegies were wonderful, potatoes and the pate was terrific. After a very mediocre meal a while ago, we went back for another try! They have a new chef the food was great! Its a quirky place with a great feel. Will definitely make this a new favorite!
Fortunately we weren't starving when we went for dinner. The main size is pretty small. The warm green salad was really nice (a bit different with a mild green curry dressing). The beef brisket main was just plain bad. I was expecting the meat to be slow cooked, but it had been pan fried. Note to chef ... You can't pan fry brisket. It ends up tough and inedible. The waiter did comment on the left over tough meat and did offer to give us one beer on the house. Credit to him for noticing and offering.
Two Americans LOVED the genial atmosphere, great share plates and superb wine choices. Plenty of comfy seating over two floors.
Great friendly staff, great food. These guys are into sustainability and responsibly local sourced produce. They know their wines and ciders too!
