We ate here on a couple of occasions whilst visiting Tasmania. Midori is a modest Japanese restaurant that serves delicious food. Loved the tempura and Una don. The sashimi was lovely and cleverly presented. Generous portions of seaweed salad in the sets. It's BYO and the staff are pleasant. View all feedback.
What russell c doesn't like about Midori:
My friend and I were the only dine in customers. There was not enough of the wine I ordered for a glass and no more bottles of one of the only two reds on the menu. We both ordered the pork katsu. It was very very very very very dry. Barely edible. View all feedback.
I was drawn here from another reviewer saying they had a good ramen but staff informed me the miso base for the ramen soup had fish powder in it (bonito/dried fish is in heaps of miso pastes, sadly). So not vegan. Also same issue for miso eggplant. Still pieced a meal together from some delightful Inari, fried rice and tempura.
Had the veggie spring rolls, agadashi tofu, inari, and edamame and everything was delicious!
Tasty Japanese food.. had a few vegetarian and vegan options. Loved the food. Had ordered Vegetarian Set, Vegetarian fried rice (made vegan) and amazing Vegetarian Ramen made in Vegan option.
We came to eat here. the place is quite small the thunfish and salmon was nicely cut, but the thunfish was slightly salted and the salmon was friendly maize butter rays a generous amount of rams and the broth was quite easy. clcorn pieces are quite simple, but accompanies my bamboo shoots, raddish and early onslaught the sushi roll was okay. the spicy mayo accompanies the crisp soft bowl croquettes are great. soft with a crisp teig.
We had a nice late lunch with great service and very tasty food! I loved the taste of the aubergine so much! note that the parts are on the medium-sized side. the decoration is very cute
