Menu
The menu of Landscape from Hobart comprises about 95 different courses and drinks. On average you pay about A$54 for a dish / drink.
Nestled in a charming environment adorned with John Glover's art, this restaurant promises a delightful dining experience. While the food is praised for its exceptional quality, showcasing Tasmania's finest produce, inconsistencies mar the overall experience. Patrons rave about the perfectly cooked steaks and delectable appetizers, yet report disappointing main dishes like overcooked fish. Service varies, with some staff delivering attentive care, while others remain disengaged, leading to frustrations over forgotten requests. Despite these service hiccups, the enchanting atmosphere and culinary highlights make it worth a visit—ideal for those looking to indulge in remarkable flavors, albeit with patience.

Was Anonym at Landscape a mag?
we had a wonderful experience with our friends sitting in the landscape for an 18 o'clock. 4 adult and 3 children (5, 5, 3rd) the service from the host was excellent, he was polite, attentive and charming and made a special effort to let the children (a menu that they have new taste directions, coloring in book, fast dinner service.) the sommelier was also involved and managed to take us the menu for some rare and in... What Anonym dislikes about Landscape:
our experience was nice to begin, but main meal was trevalla and came over boiled, dry and chew. extremely disappointed. when they pay the price they pay in a restaurant like this, they expect to eat well cooked and fish is a very basic eating to cook. Unfortunately, this one thing has ruined our experience at the end and we will definitely not go back there again if it is so expensive. when they give feedback to the... View all feedback.
WOW!< br>/ what an amazing culinary experience. the decor is stunning and has only a beautiful feeling about it. the staff was very good. the menu is fabulous. the wine list is very extensive. the escape was the king fish and calamari both were perfectly presented and full of wonderful fresher aromas. haupt was a steak and the pasta. both perfect dishes. I had the pasta and it was just stunning and had a perfect balance of aromen. finish was a stocky cream caramel and the apple tarte didin were nice to see and taste adapted. a breathtaking evening and a wonderful culinary experience.
Our group of six very seasoned traveler's (four from Tasmania and two from Sydney) met up here for a meal after pre dinner drinks at the Macq 01 (where we stayed) across the road.Having just returned from a couple of months in Europe and having been spoiled with French cuisine, this was not a disappointment but at the same time not fantastic. What we loved was the mix of separate vegetable dishes to accompany the meals. We also liked the broad choice of dishes and good wine selection. What we did not like was the mark up for the local wines. As Tassie residents, we do not understand why there need to be such high margins. The 'Landscape artwork" onsite is interesting/conventional, however some of the industrial size artwork near the front desk (personally) appeal more.Staff was attentive however not able to up-sell to us for various reasons.Tasmania has a fantastic range of restaurants, including winery restaurants. This restaurant does not sit on top of the list for me.
Evening meal here. Greeting pleasant and friendly, seated quickly. Extensive drinks list. Wait staff excellent. Good selection on the menu with Tasmanian foods on offer. Menu explained well. Surroundings pleasant and original paintings on the walls. Food well presented and fresh. For special occasions.
The best steak house in Australia! Mike dropped. Price per person: A$120–140
The steak and sides at this restaurant were excellent and delicious, however, the bread served before the meal was cold and rock hard, which was disappointing. The atmosphere, with its historic charm and John Glover's art, was pure magic. Sadly, the service from the waitstaff was completely inattentive. They sat us down and then were nowhere to be seen, only briefly interacting with us to take our order. There was no follow-up to see how the steak was cooked or if we needed anything else. Even when my husband needed a refill on his drink, the waitress was nowhere to be found. It seemed the only way to get anyone's attention was to walk to the front to pay the bill upon leaving. Overall, the service was a let down. Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$100–120 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
