Was Lucy Walsh at Fish 349 a mag?
Called in before a movie at the State Theatre just up the road, so only wanted something light and quick. We both decided on Blue Eye and chips, her's was crumbed mine with a light batter. Fish was really fresh and thick as blue eye should be , chips okay but the salad was terrific. Crunchy and fresh with a great dressing. A little exey but I think was value for money. What Katelin Treutel dislikes about Fish 349:
A word to the wise. On 03/04/2015 we had lunch at your restaurant. We made reservations almost 2 weeks prior. When we arrived we were confronted with a sign printed on A4 paper taped to the front door saying there is a 15% surcharge for dining in on good Friday, now as we know that staffing costs do bring about penalty rates on public holidays, however we do consider it would have been more appropriate to notify us at... It's okay, but I feel that it exceeded a bit for what it is - North Hobart's response to a "simple" feed solution that fits kids and adults.
I chose Chowder tonight ($ 20). Bland, not creamy stocks with two small pieces of tasteless fish and two, whom I would say frozen shrimp. Oh and four crermons. I asked the Maitre D 'if this was the standard share serving Oer and he answered yes. Will not hurry.
Pretty base can cook better at home TBH. The service was nice, but they did not have much stock to make some meals on the menu that was pretty stupid
Something dark inside mostly for serious customers who do not want joy in life..very very overpriced.
