Aloft - Hobart

There is always a new restaurant in Hobartz this is one which open up not too long ago. Food is fine dining- Asian fusion with local tassie produce. We had the tasting menu, which was excellent. There were deep fried pigs ears. Oysters with kimchi. Drunken chicken wings ( which I thought was a tad salty)All very yummy!I will definitely recommend and go back. ;)

We dined at Aloft in mid winter and were worried that the open spaces would be impossible to keep warm. We need not have worried. The food was very, very good, Australian with Japanese accents and we enjoyed eveyne of our six small courses. The wait staff were excellent, well informed and friendly. The sommelier was knowledgeable and funny and the wine list was excellent. All in all an excellent night out.

We ate here two nights in a row. The first night was great atmosphere and great food. The second night was a lot more crowded and noisy but still great food, fresh and innovative. The staff were very accommodating to our requests for seating and a steamed veg side.

We had a great banquet here with my family last Saturday night. The staff were efficient and attentive, the food was sensational and the small dining room had a great buzz about it. Good fun !

Beautiful meals, amazing service, and overall a lovely place. We did wait a little longer than expected for our meals but was definitely worth the wait.
