Hobart has turned into a great foodie destination since I was last in town and A Tiny Place is a fine example. Tucked into an historic cottage in Battery Point, it is certainly tiny so booking for dinner is a must. Serves aren't large (if all you want a big meal for $10 then go to the pub) but if your idea of value for money is great local ingredients, simply but creatively prepared and presented then I recommend A T... What Shany Toy doesn't like about A Tiny Place:
The pork buns were small and lacked flavor, with watery, gelatinous minced pork filling. Surprisingly, they were the best part of the meal as everything went downhill from there. View all feedback.
I went to 'A Tiny Place' recently as our favourite French Restaurant was full. I am very happy to have found this little gem. Very good experience all around and I will certainly be going back!
We had a romantic evening here on a Friday night as we travelled down from SYDNEY for the weekend. We book d somewhat weeks earlier but the service here was very good as well.Absolutely great restaurant . The French waitress was excellent, adding the touch of realism to a French fare. We had a wonderful seat near the window and as the name suggests it is tiny but still private .We had three courses, byo our own lovely Pinot and it was all devine. The duck was different but excellent and the deserts to die for. Entrees were very tasty as well. Will definitely return
This restaurant is definitely worth adding to your list of dining options. The service is friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. The menu offers a variety of bold and adventurous flavors that are still approachable for those with more reserved palates. Although the selection is limited to around four dishes per course and changes weekly, everything we tried was delicious. The only drawback is the somewhat small and expensive wine list, but the available wines are thoughtfully paired with the food, so this may just be a matter of personal preference.
Seemingly simple food beautifully cooked into an elegant and sophisticated cuisine. Exceptional and genuine service. Delightful.
The meals were simple, as in a few well thought out ingredients expertly put together to make flavoursome light meals. Everything was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is tiny, so make sure you book.
